Building your instrument panel is one of the most exciting and challenging parts
of your aircraft build. You will be investing a lot of money in your panel, and
we would like to earn your business by helping you create a professional looking
panel that will look great in your aircraft and will be durable enough to withstand
the test of time.
Our Instrument Panel services are priced as all inclusive prices with NO HIDDEN FEES.
The first step to fabricating a custom CNC cut instrument panel is to convert the
design to a computer format. If you have your panel drawn up in CAD, we can easily
accept your files. If you don’t have them drawn up in CAD, we are able to use our
Instrument Panel design software to put your design into a computer rendering of
what your panel will look like.
We will work with you until the design is perfect. We want to make sure that it
is done right and that you are thrilled with the layout before we actually start
cutting your panel.
The Process is as follows:
- Create a CAD drawing of your instrument panel
- Make changes as required until you are satisfied with the final panel design.
- CNC cut a Clear Lexan Panel for you What we have found is that a lot of customers
like to make small changes once installed in their aircraft. This clear panel allows
you to assemble your panel in your plane, see if any changes need to be made, and
have an easy way to wire your panel while seeing everything behind it.
- CNC cut your panel: We use an industrial strength CNC router that meets extremely
tight accuracy requirements. This router is overkill for instrument panel fabrication,
but it does such a great job, that we don’t want to do it with a lesser quality router.)
- At this point, we will send your panel back to you for test fitting, rack installation,
etc... When you are done, you can ship it back to us for finishing.
- Powder coat, paint, or anodize your panel in a color of your choice
- Professionally label your panel. This is done either with a Screen Print or a Laser
etching process. We will work with you to discuss these options and find the best
solution for the look you are going for.
