Powder coating/Anodizing of Your Instrument Panel
Once your panel is cut, it is extremely important to go through meticulous preparation to make sure that your panel is ready for finishing.
We go through the process of making sure that any burrs are removed. After that, we will scotch brite the entire panel by hand and chemically clean it to ensure that the powder coat has maximum adhesion.
Next we need to use special tack cloths to ensure that there is no dust on your panel so that we are able to get a perfect finish.
Finally, we will powdercoat or anodize your panel in a color of your choice. This will give your panel an extremely durable, long lasting finish.
We have many standard colors in stock. Here are a list of colors we consider a “standard” in stock color.
6. PSB6765 Elephant Hide (Light Grey)
However, we can do just about anything you would like to include Lime Green, A Bumblebee configuration, Flourescent Pink, or a high quality Carbon Fiber overlay made of ACTUAL carbon fiber.
If you would like to pick a color other than standard, we recommend utilizing one of the following two websites. It is preferrable to utilize a LOW GLOSS finish to prevent glare off your panel. There is an additional fee for non standard colors as we need to source and also do detailed ink adhestion testing to ensure the ink and powder are compatible with each other.
